The fact that he dedicated TWO videos to this subject so far (and that both have more than 15k views, the previous having more than 110k views[!]) speaks volumes about the modern brony community. Is it really any surprise Alex S. would disown the title of “brony” after seeing this behavior? It’s insanity, I tell you.

I feel can pretty safely say if I looked into the show today, seeing this behavior amongst its fans would likely turn me off from it if I wasn’t turned off already. AND THIS WAS NEWSWORTHY ENOUGH TO GET ON EQD?! WHY?! His points are utter tripe (on top of being easily refuted), and whatever points he was trying to make were drowned in a sea of undeserved arrogance and snobbery.

We are the Black Pawn Movement. Bronies from the old school, shamed by the new school, and we fight for your right to dislike pastel colored ponies.

You know how we’ve been saying for years, the best way to make haters stop is to not even bother with them, because they are more than likely baiting you for a reaction? YEAH. SOMEONE DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION. AND THEN SOMEONE ELSE POSTED THIS TO THE FANDOM’S LARGEST FANSITE.

The bright side? The comments of the article, unlike many hater articles from Twilight past, are not uniformly “you go,” but rather mixed between support and “okay this is pretty stupid.” Faith in the fandom not *completely* drained…
